The Peer Learning Action Group exists to identify, develop, and support creative collaborations and arts-focused opportunities to tap into the expertise and knowledge of the Create Justice peer community in order to better support youth impacted by the juvenile justice system and strengthen the field as a whole.
In partnership with the Create Justice community, The Peer Learning Action Group has identified the following areas and questions to focus our work on:
1. How might we build local networks that will support youth - both those re-entering the community, as well as those at risk of entering or re-entering the system?
Arts as Healing
2. How might we create a shared understanding that the arts are critical tools for dealing with and healing from pain? How might we create a shared understanding that the arts are not just ‘something to do’?
3. How might we set up youth to be true collaborators, peers, partners, decision makers and in positions of power.
